What will you learn?
Powerful writing can alter beliefs, challenge perceptions and connect with others. But when it’s not done well, it can confuse, alienate and bore.
How often are you skimming through reports, articles or emails because the content just doesn’t grip you?
How to write (so people want to read) is a course that treats writing as a practical skill to be learned. We’ll go through the principles of writing well, provide the opportunity to practice those skills, and give you the confidence to supercharge your professional writing. The power of good writing is universal – if you work with words, this course will be useful for you.
This course is written for the world we find ourselves today. It combines proven insights from writing instructors like Stephen King and Sam Leith with advice on how to adapt your writing for emerging digital platforms, and how to best use LLMs (and what pitfalls to avoid).

If you are looking for practical advice and new skills to immediately take away and use to improve your writing, this course is for you. Whether you’re writing for ministers, the public, your peers, your boss, or simply for whoever stumbles onto the blog page on your website, learn how to set your writing apart.
